What is Frucall?
Frucall is a free phone-based price-comparison shopping service for consumers to compare prices and purchase products using their cell phones, anywhere, anytime. Frucall blends the benefits of in-store shopping with the flexible nature of shopping online; providing consumers with a unique mobile shopping experience.

Frucall helps you know Internet prices for what you are shopping for, regardless of where you are. You usually spend hours in a book/music/electronic store to find something you really like. With Frucall, you can check the online price right there and then. You no longer need to write down the name and specification to check later. Frucall allows you to "bookmark" the items you like, so that later you can review them on the Internet from your computer. And, best of all, you can order items directly from your phone when you use Frucall.

   Do I access Frucall via a phone call or a text message?
Well, you can do both, and even more. It depends on what you are more comfortable with. If it's easier for you to make a phone call, call Frucall and get your answer. If you like SMS, send Frucall a text message and get your answer. Or, if you have an Internet enabled device, you can browse the Frucall mobile web site and search for product prices.

   What does "Frucall" mean?
Frucall means being frugal just by making a call. We also thought about being "frugal" and "cool" at the same time - after all, it's pretty cool to check prices on your cell phone. But then "frucool" did not sound very enticing!

We prefer to use Frucall as a verb, such as "Did you frucall today"? Try it, you'll like it :-)

   Is Frucall free?
Absolutely. We do not charge consumers for the service. Our phone number is toll-free, so you will not have to pay for the call, which means, you can even use a pay phone and check a price! Also, we do not charge you for buying through us. Frucall's revenue comes from sponsored advertisement. If you use SMS to access Frucall, notice that your mobile service provider may charge you for the messages you send or receive. That is independent of Frucall.

   Should I use my cell phone to access Frucall?
You can call Frucall from any phone, but if you use your cell phone Frucall will keep your search history, bookmark items, and voiceNotes for you under your sign up account.

   What number do I call? What number do I send SMS to?
Call 1-888-DO-FRUCALL (1-888-363-7822). If you normally have caller ID blocked, Add *82 to the beginning, so it will be *82-1-888-363-7822. This will unblock your caller ID only during the call to us. If you're sure caller ID is not blocked but Frucall cannot recognize it, call our alternate number 1-888-FRU-SHOP (1-888-378-7467) instead. For SMS, see our Frucall Text Help page.

   Do I need to unblock caller ID on my cell phone when calling Frucall?
Not necessarily, but without the caller ID some of the features will not work. Your caller ID is how Frucall knows who you are when you call. Frucall stores your bookmarks and search history for you, and you can access them any time from a computer once you login to your account. You can also record voiceNotes and attach them to your bookmarks.

   I usually keep my cell phone number blocked. How can I unblock it just for Frucall?
Save Frucall in your cell phone contact list as *82-1-888-DO-FRUCALL (*82-1-888-363-7822) or *82-1-888-FRU-SHOP (*82-1-888-378-7467).

   I'm sure my caller ID is unblocked, but Frucall can't determine my number.
If you're sure caller ID is not blocked but Frucall cannot recognize it, call our alternate number 1-888-FRU-SHOP (1-888-378-7467) instead.

   Do I need to be connected to the Internet using my cell phone?
If you are using Frucall Voice, all you need to do is making a phone call. You do not need any Internet access or any special features/plans. You can do it from any phone, even a pay phone. Same if you are using Frucall Text - that's just plain SMS. But for those who access Frucall mobile web (mWeb), obviously they have to be connected to the Internet.

   Why can't Frucall find an item?
Not everything is available on the Internet sites that we search. If we didn't find it, it probably isn't available yet. Also some large stores have products which are not sold elsewhere.

   Why do I need a PIN when I already have a password?
Password is for your account on the web site, while PIN is used with the phone. For your security, your PIN will be asked when you are going to buy an item over the phone. Entering the PIN upon a purchase means that you agree to purchasing the item, and that you agree with our Terms of Sale.
